A Remarkable Case of Healing
Dayton (O.) Herald
The following remarkable case of healing was related at a recent Wednesday evening meeting of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Dayton, O.
The First Reader stated, "We have with us to-night a gentleman who met with a serious accident some time ago, breaking the hip-bone. It is a case of surgery with scarcely a parallel, and another grand triumph for Christian Science. The doctor, surgeon, and nurses at the hospital acknowledged that they had never witnessed a case like unto it. Mr. William Rice, to whom I refer, is here, and will speak for himself."
Mr. Rice arose, and stated: "When I was a boy I heard of the old adage, 'that some people will not take a hint until they are knocked down.' This is my experience relative to Christian Science. It would be presumptuous for me to undertake to tell you what Christian Science is, but I would like to tell you what Christian Science has done for me.
