My attention has just been called to a proof of a photograph of mine sent out by William H. Pierce & Co., Boston, which they claim is the best extant of me to-day. This photo is merely a fac-simile of a photograph taken by an artist in Concord about ten years ago, which I condemned, and I have refused to sit for a photograph since that date.
