Christian Science Helps the Student
I feel that it is fully time that I put into words my gratitude for the joys that Christian Science has brought me. Eight years ago the thought of a college education for myself, a sickly, nervous child, had never occurred to me. To-day I look back over four bright, happy college years, and thank Christian Science for them. I can never express what Science meant to me there. Lessons made easier, envyings overcome, and sickness met and conquered. Many pleasures came to me too; all through Science, because I was trying to know that my happiness was not dependent upon circumstances or personalities. I am now at home and have taken a Sunday School class which is a great help and pleasure to me. I find that Science, instead of taking our friends away, gives us even more, for Science means happiness, and happiness is always welcomed by everybody. Of course I have many problems yet to meet, and many "days of dumps," but I have found a sure cure for the latter and a Principle by which to work out the former, and I always end by going on my way rejoicing. — Elizabeth Jenkins, Evanston, III.
