How have you prayed about body image issues?

One question—many answers. Read a selection of responses from site visitors: 

Whenever issues regarding body image are presented to thought, I like to go to the Bible and remember what God made. In Genesis 1 it states that God made man in His image and likeness and He saw that it was very good. In the first chapter of John in the New Testament it also says that God made all that was made, so holding to these truthful ideas assures me that my image can only be what God has designed.

I also hold to the idea that as His reflection we can have no image that is unlike Him. As God is Love, that then would be our true image, and not some material form that we mistakenly thought we were. As God is not material, His image and likeness couldn’t be either.
