Back pain healed and lost item found

My daughter and I travelled to Africa last November. On the day of our departure, she called me at 7:00 a.m. to say she would be picking me up later that morning. As I reached for the phone, I discovered I could barely move because of severe back pain.

I turned my thought to a passage in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures called “the scientific statement of being,” which begins, “There is no life, truth, intelligence, nor substance in matter” (Mary Baker Eddy, p. 468). As I prayed, immediately a strong thought—a divinely inspired command—came to “get up.” On the third command, I realized I needed to be obedient, and moved to a chair. 

Thoughts overwhelmed me at first about the possibility of having to step away from our long-awaited trip. I also thought about how disappointed our church’s Sunday School students would be if I could not deliver the letters they had written to some Sunday School students in South Africa.
