Vision difficulties healed

I love skiing. But for about five years, I had to do really low-level skiing because I couldn’t clearly see the snow. It seemed like there was a glare or fog over it. This meant I couldn’t detect bumps, ice patches, or changes in incline. I couldn’t ski quickly or take steep, bumpy slopes. I would stay on slopes with very little incline. I’d always follow other people because their body movements told me what the terrain was like.

The glare problem also came up when I was at home in New York City. On the tennis court or a sunny street, people and objects had a haze over them.

Before I heard about Christian Science, I believed that some illnesses were caused by thought—such as ulcers, pressure headaches, back trouble, etc. Then, about 18 years ago, I started reading more about Christian Science, and I tested out the proposition that illnesses are simply a manifestation of thought and can be healed, whether we need to face our own thoughts about a situation, or an incorrect world thought. I thought about the idea that God—the source of all being—is spiritual. Actually, I had already learned that in my childhood religion; God wasn’t like a man in the sky. “He” could not be seen with our physical eyes.
