I began the study of Christian Science early in 1929 and have had many proofs of its beneficence. At the time I began the study of the Bible and of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, I had little, if any, religious training. I took to these teachings without difficulty.
From childhood I had been considered a weakling, and I was frequently under medical care. In the Bible I read (I Kings 18:21), "How long halt ye between two opinions? if the Lord be God, follow him." I did! On the day that the significance of this verse became clear to me, I destroyed all my material medicine and took my stand for Christian Science completely.
This stand for the truth, which took place forty-seven years ago, proved to be right. I have not had a day in bed, but have been able to fulfill all business obligations without absence, up to my retirement last year. Whenever I have had a physical disorder it has been healed promptly and efficiently through an understanding of the teachings of Christian Science.
