Ye have sold yourselves for nought; and ye shall be redeemed without money (Isa 52:3)

J. Muilenburg comments on this passage that though the people Israel had been punished, through Exile, for their sins, "Babylon had no right or claim over Israel. Therefore the Redeemer is under no requirement to pay the ransom money for the enslaved people. The Lord redeems them for his own sake."

The Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground (Gen. 2:7)
