Unretarded Intelligence and Action

Intelligence and right action cannot be retarded because God, Spirit, is their one animating source. The energy of this power is untouched by materialism and is limitless in expression.

The Psalmist sang, "I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well." Ps. 139:14; Think of it—to be able to understand one's being as admirably made, with nothing to hinder the expression of intelligence or action; to recognize God as one's creator, and to feel close enough to Him to be able to sing His praise!

How is this possible? The Psalmist has given the answer "My soul knoweth right well." In Christian Science we learn that this "soul" is a spiritual sense, or consciousness, which belongs to each of us as the perfect and pure expression of the one Father-Mother God. This Science explains the senses of Spirit, or Soul, as spiritual; and Mrs. Eddy says of them in Science and Health, "Nothing can hide from them the harmony of all things and the might and permanence of Truth." Science and Health, p. 215;
