Progress Report on Renovations at the Benevolent Associations

We are happy to report that extensive renovation has begun on the buildings at the Christian Science Benevolent Association, Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, and at the Arden Wood Benevolent Association (formerly the Christian Science Benevolent Association on Pacific Coast) at San Francisco, California.

Work commenced in February at Chestnut Hill, with completion scheduled for September of this year. The total cost of $1,200,000 will include renovation of guest rooms, improvements in the heating and air-conditioning systems, modernization of two elevators, construction of a new consolidated office and reception area, and a new ambulance entrance.

The Trustees of Arden Wood Benevolent Association have worked out similar plans, and renovation has also begun there. That contract is for a little over $2,000,000 and covers the entire building.
