What Can I Do About Inflation?
A lone individual may feel frustrated and helpless before an economic crisis affecting millions and threatening to bankrupt nations. But can we be frustrated when we know how to pray scientifically for mankind? Inflation and lack are products of mortal, material belief, and we can help counteract these through our application of Christian Science.
Since inflation is largely the result of a disparity of supply and demand, we should consider what the law that controls supply and demand really is and who is responsible for its enforcement.
What is called material law too often results in injustices, inequities, imbalances. That is because material law is rooted in the false belief that matter is substance and causation, and depends upon matter and persons for its effectiveness. However, there is a fixed divine law under which supply meets demand. God is always enforcing this law and it only awaits our recognition and scientific application for us to experience its benefits. This law is wholly spiritual, just, and impartial.
