I am filled with great gratitude for Mrs. Eddy when I read the testimonies in The Herald of Christian Science. Her perseverance and her love for mankind were boundless. Through the teachings of Christian Science we may attain freedom and have dominion over the physical senses. It is wonderful when one experiences for the first time the power of God's Word, how through us it works what seem to be miracles.

Some years ago my mother-in-law fell on a parquet floor and suffered a double fracture of the pelvis. At that time she was seventy-three years old. The doctor predicted that the fracture would not completely heal. However, we had been privileged to see in other healings the truth of Christ Jesus' words, "With God all things are possible" (Mark 10:27). We held fast to the truth of her indestructible unity with God, and after some months she began to walk again. Just a year later we both again took up mountain hiking of eight to ten hours' duration without any difficulty. We were very thankful for this proof of divine care.

I had a very beautiful healing at work. One day I was busy printing fabrics. After printing, the fabrics were pulled aloft for drying by means of an iron frame; in doing so a cable snapped, and the iron frame, along with the fabrics, dropped on my head. For a moment I was unconscious; then I heard my name being called as if from far away. Instantly I was wide awake and felt completely free. I wanted to immediately continue my work. However, I had to comply with the legal regulations and remain under medical observation for three weeks, during which time I received neither medical treatment nor medication. I was very happy to have this time, because I could do prayerful metaphysical work. My healing proved to be complete.
