New Format for The Christian Science Monitor

Among the many friends and supporters of The Christian Science Monitor are those who are not presently members of The Mother Church or a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, but who read our periodicals. We are taking this opportunity to inform them of pending charges in our newspaper that have already been announced to members.

During the first week in April, the Monitor will appear in a new compact format issued Monday through Friday. In addition, a compact weekly international edition will be printed in London for distribution outside of North America. Both editions will continue the Monitor's high standards of journalism, but will present the news in a form that is designed to be more effective and attractive to readers.

The format for both editions will be approximately 11 inches wide by 14½ inches deep. The weekly international edition will carry the most significant of the Monitor's world news reporting, all international advertising, and specially-written features. It will not be available in North America. However, the North American edition will also be available worldwide on a daily basis from New York to all who wish to subscribe for it.
