Let God Hold You
There are adults who want to feel like children again. They have happy childhood memories of being held in the loving and comforting arms of a parent.
In the Bible it is frequently stated that we are all God's children. Paul affirms, "The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God." Rom. 8:16; The fact that God comforts and protects us is the subject of several psalms. We can all acknowledge that God is our Parent and we are His children.
The need to be childlike to realize the harmonious, spiritual reality of being is a primary teaching of Christ Jesus: "Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven." Matt. 18:3; Sometimes adults forget how to be childlike, but if we forget we are His children, we can lose sight of our Parent. We may get so busy being parents we no longer think of ourselves as children—of God.
