I am very grateful for Christian Science, and have often wondered how I could have done without it in bringing up our family. Our youngest son had asthma from the age of two. His healing came about solely through our studying the teachings of Christian Science. At the age of twelve he began attending Sunday School regularly, and without specific treatment by a Christian Science practitioner he was healed two years later.

Also I believe great benefit was derived by taking advantage of Christian Science exemption from health studies given in the public schools in our area. My husband and I utilized this privilege of exemption by writing to the Christian Science Committee on Publication, who in turn contacted the principal of the school. It has opened the door to greater freedom both for our son and ourselves. Further proof of this progressive step is that our son experienced none of the diseases commonly associated with childhood. He was completely free from dental difficulties. This was confirmed in examinations by the school nurse. He knew and proved that he was the perfect child of God.

I was introduced to Science by a friend who gave me some literature and then recommended I read the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I knew very little of Christian Science teachings or its healings, but since this friend had been kind to my family, I decided to read the book.
