For three years I was struggling with a problem diagnosed by physicians as tuberculosis. A neighbor noticed that I was ill and offered Christian Science to me. Having heard derogatory remarks regarding this method of healing, I declined most ungraciously. However, a few days later I read these words of Christ Jesus (Mark 10:27): "With God all things are possible." I then thought of Christian Science and knew I could be healed.

I called the neighbor to the fence and apologized and asked her to take me to a Christian Science practitioner. I saw the practitioner two or three times and got a copy of the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, for myself.

This was not an immediate healing, but after about ten prayerful treatments and my own sincere study of the Bible and the textbook for about a year and a half, I was healed! There were many unloving thoughts to be overcome, and I learned to turn from matter to God, Spirit, with assurance of healing.

Words are inadequate to express my gratitude for the peace of mind I have found. I know God is controlling, directing, and protecting me in my daily activities. I am also grateful that I can help others to see the light.
