PRAYER FOR OUR CHILD

Creative Spirit,
ageless, new,
I pray to see
our child in Your likeness, not ours,
forever known and loved by You.
Understanding Mind,
Parent divine,
make clear to her
not my will, but Your way completely wise.
Let her respond to Your design.
Unchanging Love,
constant, true,
keep her fearless,
joyous, free. With great compassion may she know
all men are ever one with You.
Father-Mother God,
may I see,
with Christly light,
Your parenthood enfolding all.
