What a sublime, enjoyable view greets the hiker whose path in the open, on a clear summer or autumn day, leads him beside the quiet water of a mountain lake! The calm surface mirrors the surroundings in their colorful splendor and all their detail. Reverently, filled with wonder, he may stand still before so much beauty, before such a sublime expression of perfection in nature. Through such an experience the concept of reflection is brought closer to us —a concept that acquires great significance in Christian Science. Through it the real relationship between God and man is clearly and understandably set forth.
In the first chapter of Genesis we read, "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him." Gen. 1:27; Here it is revealed that man was created as the expression of God, and that he is therefore the full reflection of God!
