ETERNALITY OF LIFE

It cannot be
That life shall cease for us and leave no mark
In passing—nothing but a fearsome, stark
Vacuity.
So frail a premise would consign to earth
The majesty of Mind, and make of Truth
A mockery.
Man, the reflection of the infinite,
Knowing no death, walks ever in supernal light
eternally.
