TO A TROUBLED KID

How come you keep going through all these changes,
man?
Ain't you gonna ever take your stand?
You be His likeness, man,
right where you stand.
You say you sick, you gotta find the right trick?
Uh huh,
leads me to believe you never heard a word
I said.
Listen! you hear this?
You know Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead,
and bid all the hungry folks be fed. "Lo,
I am with you alway."1
He didn't say this to the dead.
