In loving and sincere gratitude to God for the healings, joys, comfort, provision, and protection that Christian Science has brought into my life, and also into the lives of my family, I want to relate some of my experiences.

For many years I suffered from degenerative arthritis of the spine, hands, and feet. I also suffered and shook with muscular dystrophy. I had spent many years in braces, casts, and corsets, had undergone spinal surgery, and had spent much time in traction both at home and in a hospital.

Five years ago I found Christian Science by picking up a Sentinel that had been left in a local automatic laundry by the literature distribution committee of the local Christian Science church. At that time I was walking with my ankles turned over, my spine was distorted, and my left shoulder was dropped and drawn to the front. I was going blind and attributed it to the effects of the medicines that had been prescribed for me. I was told I could only get worse, never better. Even with medication I had no relief. My right hand and arm also became useless. My long illness had stripped my family financially, and I seemed of little use to them.
