Our family has had many blessings through the study and application of Christian Science over the past thirty-five years. This divine Science has met all our needs, physically, financially, and in all other ways, and we are grateful.

When we were expecting our first child, we were on a vacation trip in the West. One day as we were returning from a trail ride, the horses were frightened and started to run for the corral. My wife was thrown violently to the ground. We were concerned over the effect this fall might have on the unborn child, so we asked for the help of a Christian Science practitioner who lived locally. Upon hearing of this experience the practitioner immediately took up prayerful treatment. We were reminded that God's creation was already complete and that we had no responsibility except to respond to God's healing and saving presence. She handled the problem in two treatments. When the child was born, he was perfectly formed, and we knew treatment in Christian Science had been effective.

A few years later we were expecting a second child, and we decided to have this child delivered at home, which proved to be a right decision. When the time for the birth came, the doctor told my wife that the umbilical cord had been wrapped around the child's neck and she was not making any effort to breathe.
