Christian Scientists have much—many things—for which to be grateful. I wish, however, to express special gratitude for our weekly Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly, which Christian Scientists study and ponder daily.
Each time we have the subject "Are Sin, Disease, and Death Real?" I recall a healing our daughter had. I had been studying and pondering the lesson for several hours when I realized it was almost time for our two daughters to come from school for luncheon.
In a few minutes the younger daughter arrived looking very distressed. She said she was ill and that it had been difficult for her to come home. I put the child on the davenport and turned from this picture with great gratitude for Christian Science. I knew she was God's perfect spiritual idea, that this was the truth, and because it was the truth, it could never be changed.
