Estrangement Can Be Healed

All too often people share the lament of Job. "Mine acquaintance are verily estranged from me. My kinsfolk have failed, and my familiar friends have forgotten me. They that dwell in mine house, and my maids, count me for a stranger: I am an alien in their sight." Job 19:13-15;

Whatever the nature of disappointment or unfulfilled hope, whatever the duration of the strained or broken relationship, Christian Science stands ready to help and heal. It can bring to every estranged situation the infinitely wise and compassionate understanding of the Christ, Truth, and is ready to wash away all confusion and doubt and antagonism and open thought to healing.

The Christ, scientifically understood, brings to the situation a divine sense of love, a love infinitely higher than the human sense of disappointed hope, a love that knows no break, no letdown, no bitterness, no envy, no hate. Christ comes as a panacea to each and all. It brings blessedness and joy, companionship and peace, and puts human relationships on a wholly different basis. It heals estrangement, satisfies the longing heart, awakens each to his true identity—his spiritual selfhood and inseparable relationship with God, divine Mind.
