I became a member of The Mother Church two years ago. I have always attended a Christian Science Sunday School and am fourteen years old.

This particular incident happened last year. I was over at a friend's house with some other boys playing basketball, and the game was getting a little rough. I jumped for the ball, and a boy on the other team tripped over my foot and fell, landing on my foot. I thought about it a minute and decided to limp home.

That night my mother talked to me about God's love and the healing power of prayer based on spiritual understanding. Although there seemed to be much pain, I was able to read from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy and go to sleep. My mother tried to call a Christian Science practitioner, but not being able to reach her, waited until morning.
