The Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel (Isa. 43:1)

"Created" is the word employed in Genesis 1; "formed" comes from the Hebrew word meaning to fashion or mold, as a potter shapes and molds his day.

Man is like to vanity: his days are as a shadow that passeth away (Ps. 144:4)
