Peace Right Where You Are

Have you ever found yourself saying, "If only I could get away and find some quiet place to work this problem out, everything would be all right"? I have learned that the need isn't to find a material location free from the interference of worldly thought and belief but to establish my peace right where I am.

Peace is more than the absence of discord. It is an active state of feeling our oneness, unity, with God. Because the Father-Mother God is all-harmonious, His reflection, man (our true self), is continuously and effortlessly at peace. In Christian Science we see why. Mrs. Eddy states, "The relations of God and man, divine Principle and idea, are indestructible in Science; and Science knows no lapse from nor return to harmony, but holds the divine order or spiritual law, in which God and all that He creates are perfect and eternal, to have remained unchanged in its eternal history." ^{Science and Health, pp. 470, 471;}

Man always has been and always will be at peace, no matter what the material senses say is taking place. And when we find that our peace is not contingent on material factors, but maintained by ever-present divine Mind, we will see that peace is available always.
