Tomorrow's Medicine Today

People tend to believe that whatever they need will be better provided tomorrow than today. But throughout history a medicine has been available to humanity to heal any disease that might afflict the body or mind.

In Jeremiah, God tells us He will restore our health and heal our wounds.^{See Jer. 30:17;} Psalm 103 describes God as the Lord who heals all our diseases, forgives all our sins, redeems our life from destruction, renews our youth, and executes righteousness for all who are oppressed.^{See Ps. 103:3-6;} Jesus and his disciples healed many types and stages of disease by the medicine of Spirit—a purely mental medicine.

Spiritual medicine was the best medicine in Biblical times, and it could not have lost its healing power, because it comes from ever-present Mind, God, and is administered through prayer and understanding of God. Proof is still its certain result. Over a hundred years ago Mrs. Eddy discovered the Science of Mind-healing, which is in accord with the method Christ Jesus taught. The purely spiritual medicine of divine Mind, which she discovered, is similar to what inspired worshipers of God have used through the ages to heal sickness, sin, and death. We don't need to wish for tomorrow's medicine today, because we have effective eternal medicine today— the only real medicine that exists.
