I would like to share my gratitude and appreciation for the chapter on Prayer in the textbook, Science and Health by the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, Mrs. Eddy.

When a child, I was injured by a fall on the ice. As I grew older, the condition worsened. Inflammation crowded the hip joint out of place, and spinal injury resulted in deformity and great pain. The medical care, together with the compassion and tenderness put forth by all, was greatly appreciated.

After nine doctors said the hip joint would never stay in place because I had matured with it out of the socket, I was led to investigate Christian Science.
