My gratitude for one particular healing in Christian Science is very great. It was not a quick healing, for there was much fear in my thinking to be overcome.

As I crossed the road on my way to church one Wednesday evening, I was attacked from behind and thrown down by a man who evidently wanted my handbag. The bag opened, and all the contents were scattered over the road. I managed to call out, and four people instantly came to my assistance; but the man escaped. I had a gash on my right arm and a cut on the back of my hand. I was badly shaken, especially since I am well on in years.

A friend took me back to my flat, washed the wounds, and bound them up. Then, putting a stole around my shoulders and arm, I went to the testimony meeting, which helped diminish the shock.
