In childhood a stomach condition, named in those days "dyspepsia," troubled me; and as the years progressed, it grew more serious, so that by the time I reached adulthood there was seldom a day free from misery and suffering.

After marriage we lived near an uncle and his wife, relatives of my husband, who were students of Christian Science. They were called one evening when my husband was seized with a violent attack of migraine and our family doctor had admitted he could give him no further help. A practitioner was then called, and through her prayers the patient was soon sleeping peacefully, although he had been irrational moments before. In the morning he awakened free.
