Are We Willing to Change?
When efforts toward healing under Christian Science treatment have been unfruitful, one might well ask himself, "Am I really willing to change my thinking and living and to yield to the guidance that comes to me from divine Love?" One of the prime requisites of healing is receptive, flexible, childlike, willing response.
A humble, listening attitude of thought is a very helpful sign. Quite evidently when we have need of healing, we have come to believe something untrue. And we need to change that belief. To repent means to change one's mind. Deep, conscientious prayer effects a change of thought, an increase in understanding, and this is bound to forward the healing process. Do we welcome the Christ message? Do we feel the quickening sense of God's presence? It is the divine influence that restores harmony and health, and we must come into agreement with it.
