"Loved Christmas"

Prophets foretold the coming of the Christ; shepherds recognized and reverenced the child Jesus; Wisemen followed a star to Bethlehem and worshiped him as the promised Messiah; Simeon publicly identified and presented Jesus as the Saviour, or Son of God. Thus a deep and lasting yearning of mankind for a more spiritual understanding of God and His creation had unfolded the Christ-idea to human consciousness, and Jesus was born.

In Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, says of this momentous event, "The incarnation of Truth, that amplification of wonder and glory which angels could only whisper and which God illustrated by light and harmony, is consonant with ever-present Love." Science and Health, p. 501;

In Christian Science the coming of the Christ is the dawning of Truth on individual human consciousness. It is the unfolding of the facts of spiritual creation wherein God's law is supreme in its protection, blessing, and eternal guidance for all mankind.
