Christmas Is Love
[For preschoolers]
Long, long ago people did not know much about God, and they did not know about Christmas either, because there had never been a Christmas Day, not even one. Some people thought God was a huge, strong warrior; some thought God was a king who lived far off, maybe in the sky. They wondered about Him and wished they could find out more about Him.
At that time God, because He is Love, sent somebody into the world to tell the people who God is and what He does for His children. This is what happened:
The Bible tells us that some Wisemen saw a bright star in the sky, and because they were Wisemen they knew it was a very special star. The Wisemen followed it. There weren't any cars in those days; the Wisemen rode camels. Camels were fine to ride on because they can walk and walk without getting tired and thirsty.
