Early in my study of Christian Science I learned that, if I expected to be healed, I would have to follow its teachings in every detail.
This healing religion teaches us to be law-abiding citizens, so when our daughter showed symptoms of contagious diseases such as whooping cough, measles, and chicken pox, we were obedient and reported to the Board of Health.
Not having sufficient understanding of God's power to heal, we asked a Christian Science practitioner to help us. Her prayerful treatment, based upon her understanding of the works of Christ Jesus, as revealed by Mrs. Eddy, brought such quick healings that we were exempt from the law which would have compelled us to use medication. No bad aftereffects ever occurred from these diseases.
