It has been over twenty-four years since my first testimony appeared in Christian Science Sentinel. At that time I had been a student of Christian Science for twenty years. I can say with deep joy and gratitude that during all this time Christian Science has met and continues to meet my every need.
One experience of healing especially stands out in my thought, inasmuch as it was brought about by an overwhelming sense of gratitude for God's ever-present goodness.
Some years ago a physical condition caused severe pain. At the insistence of a member of the family who was not then a Christian Scientist a doctor was called. The verdict was given that certain organs had slipped out of place and that I faced a life of possibly total invalidism. Refusing to accept this verdict, I asked for help from a dear friend who had been my teacher in the Christian Science Sunday School years before. My thought was turned to the many proofs that I had had of God's unfailing love and care for me.
