Man's True Individuality

Who does not cherish the thought of individuality, which distinguishes a person from all others and brings out his unique character? True individuality is very precious and should be preserved at all times. We shall develop it to a greater extent as we realize its value.

But true individuality is not something we build for ourselves. Rather is it the embodiment of right ideas coming forth from divine Mind and expressed in an individual way. Isaiah said, "Now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine." Isa. 43:1;

God is individual in that He stands alone and has no equal. He is All-in-all; and we know Him as infinite Spirit, Life, Truth, and Love. Mrs. Eddy writes, "The one Ego, the one Mind or Spirit called God, is infinite individuality, which supplies all form and comeliness and which reflects reality and divinity in individual spiritual man and things." Science and Health, p. 281; Man is not absorbed in Deity; true individuality is a quality of God which man reflects and which gives him a distinction especially his own.
