Each day I grow increasingly grateful that I was led to study Christian Science. I had been a very active and devoted member of an orthodox church all of my life, but I had begun to question the effectiveness of all the extracurricular and social life involved in the church. There seemed to be little time for real spiritual development.

Then about seven years ago I became very depressed, and I began to question the reality of God. My husband's parents were Christian Scientists. He was away on a business trip during this period and was led to go to a Christian Science Reading Room. He returned home with some literature and said he felt I could be helped by prayerfully reading these books. I was so encouraged by the statements of love I read that my mental depression disappeared in a few days. We started attending a branch church, and now we are active members.

Sometime ago I injured my foot. A definite crack of the bone was heard. I immediately reversed the evidence, declaring that God's man never falls and that "the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword" (Hebr. 4:12). I also held to Mrs. Eddy's statement in Science and Health (p. 424), "Under divine Providence there can be no accidents, since there is no room for imperfection in perfection."
