Horses Can Be Healed Too
[For young teens]
Judy's horse, Boots, is a chestnut quarter horse with sparkling white markings around each hoof. She takes him to rodeos to help rope cows; he is good too at "cutting cows," often helping ranchers separate cattle for branding or marketing.
Sometimes Judy and Boots compete in contests with other riders and their horses. They especially enjoy barrel-racing contests in which horses and riders race around barrels at the fastest speed possible. Judy and Boots have won many of these races.
One day Judy noticed that all four of Boots' legs were swollen to twice their natural size. Judy expected him to get better in a little while, but he didn't; and she felt concerned. When she arrived at Sunday School the next morning, her eyes were full of tears.
