I have known and been blessed by Christian Science for over...
I have known and been blessed by Christian Science for over fifty years. When I was a child, my mother was healed of a functional disease which medical treatment had failed to heal or even relieve. She at once embraced Christian Science, and I grew up learning to turn to God at all times for guidance, healing, and inspiration; and I have seen Science bless the lives of my daughter and my four grandchildren.
I have witnessed and experienced many healings in my family, including those of scarlet fever, food poisoning, and a nervous breakdown. Unhappiness and lack have vanished through my prayerful reliance on God's ever-available ability to meet the human need.
One night, very late, a little over four years ago, I felt impelled to go to my mother's room after I had retired. I found her on the floor, paralyzed from her waist down. With great difficulty I managed to get her into her bed, and when we could not reach the practitioner she had asked me to call, she asked me to pray for her.
