The Presence of Good Is Reality

It is inspiring to understand that God is Love and that, as Christian Science teaches, our true identity is the individual manifestation of good, God; that this identity includes only spiritual substance, that it is complete, lacking nothing.

When one awakens in Science to the actual, spiritual presence of good in his experience—the reality of being, here and now— he finds that the wishful thinking about the good to be found in the future and the unsatisfied longing for the good in the past are destroyed. The infinite good that one includes as God's idea is experienced through the study and application of Christian Science, which spiritualizes his consciousness and life.

Proving that God is Love, Christ Jesus taught the fearful and doubting mentality that the real state of man in the image and likeness of God includes health and freedom. The Master said (Matt. 7:9-11): "What man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?"
