I want to express my gratitude for Christian Science and for the healings my grandmother and I have experienced. I began to study Science because a friend invited me to attend the services of a group of Scientists who were meeting informally in Central Java. I did not belong to any religious group before that time.

My grandmother's first healing came when she suffered an infection on her foot. Although a doctor had given her several injections and other medicine, the wound became worse. Another physician said that it would take a long time for her to be healed, because Grandmother is already very old. When she heard this, she was very sad, and became thinner and thinner.

Then I wrote to a Christian Science practitioner asking for help, and she answered and explained that Grandmother is in reality God's perfect child, protected and harmonious; that what we see with our material eyes is only a cloud which hides the real man; that Christian Science helps us to see through the cloud man's perfect likeness to a perfect God. I explained this to Grandmother again and again, and she lost her fear, and within a week she was completely healed.
