The arresting statement, "The truths of Christian Science are not interpolations of the Scriptures, but the spiritual interpretations thereof," is made by Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, in "Retrospection and Introspection".
Christian Science reveals that the straight line of obedience to the Ten Commandments and to the Sermon on the Mount is the shortest distance between the forsaking of depraved material beliefs and the attainment of the spiritual facts of being.

The Presence of Good Is Reality

It is inspiring to understand that God is Love and that, as Christian Science teaches, our true identity is the individual manifestation of good, God; that this identity includes only spiritual substance, that it is complete, lacking nothing.

Some years ago, in a branch...

Some years ago, in a branch church of which I was a member, I gave a testimony beginning with these words from the Message to The Mother Church for 1902 by Mary Baker Eddy.
Many proofs of the power and presence of God's law of divine love to meet our human need have been made manifest in my experience.
One day in 1963 I became ill with the symptoms of a form of influenza which was prevalent at that time.
I want to express my gratitude for Christian Science and for the healings my grandmother and I have experienced.
"Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted".
My first testimony of healing appeared in The Christian Science Journal in 1924.
