The
arresting statement, "The truths of Christian Science are not interpolations of the Scriptures, but the spiritual interpretations thereof," is made by Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, in "Retrospection and Introspection".
Christian Science
reveals that the straight line of obedience to the Ten Commandments and to the Sermon on the Mount is the shortest distance between the forsaking of depraved material beliefs and the attainment of the spiritual facts of being.
It
is inspiring to understand that God is Love and that, as Christian Science teaches, our true identity is the individual manifestation of good, God; that this identity includes only spiritual substance, that it is complete, lacking nothing.
When
Moses was led to send a series of plagues on Egypt in order to force Pharaoh to let the Israelites leave the land of bondage, the next to the final plague was darkness.
