Man is always in his right place
Man is always in his right place. This is the healing thought that came to me and protected me and fourteen other men when my company sent me to a western Alabama city to hold a sales meeting. This meeting was to be held at eight in the evening at the local country club. Around six o'clock a storm developed and, though I did not know it, storm warnings had been broadcast over radio and television for this particular area. My company had rented ten of the fourteen rooms at a motel to house the men who would be attending the meeting.
I was rather concerned about the approaching storm and was wondering whether I should cancel the meeting or go ahead with it. The men had already checked in at the motel and would not want to drive to their homes at night in a storm. I started reading from the Bible and from the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, trying to clear my thought about the situation.
Suddenly the thought came to me that man is always in his right place because God fills all space and man reflects God, his creator. Since God is ever present, man cannot for an instant be without God's protection. Also the thought came to me that I should not cancel the meeting but that instead of having it at eight o'clock I should start it earlier.
