I should like to testify to the many blessings I have experienced since I have known of Christian Science. My gratitude goes first and foremost to my Father-Mother God; it was His love and care that led me to become acquainted with Christian Science. Since 1945 I have relied completely on its truths for healing, and my life has gone along happily and successfully.
On leaving the house one evening to go to my work as a baby nurse, I injured my foot. I kept still for a few minutes to collect my thoughts and do some prayerful metaphysical work. The pain was severe, and I was unable to step on my foot. Since I had boots on and could not remove them, I couldn't see what had happened to it; but I knew that my time was limited and that I must go on. I got into a cab with difficulty and was at my destination on time, repeating, "God is guiding—only good is present."
After arriving at the baby's home, I made her comfortable and changed to my uniform. On so doing I was startled to see my foot; it was black, and one toe was completely out of place. All I could think was: "You have an understanding of God. Use it. There is no dislocation in God's kingdom."
