Sometime ago I was healed of...
Sometime ago I was healed of deafness. For about a year I was completely deaf in one car and partially in the other, It seemed as if I were living in a world of silence, for I could only faintly hear the telephone ring, although the bell had been set at its maximum loudness, and if someone stood next to me and talked, I could not hear even then.
One morning, when I was washing dishes at the sink, I suddenly heard the refrigerator turn on, the clock tick, automobiles passing the house outside, and the roar of an airplane overhead —sounds which I had not been able to hear for about a year. When the telephone rang, it was loud and clear to me. Words cannot express the joy and gratitude I felt, for I knew that I was completely healed.
During the time of this trial there was no fear or doubt regarding my complete healing, and I earnestly tried to forget self and fill my thought with love and kindness for others and to have a deep sense of gratitude.
