Expressing Godlike Qualities
Education may be called the process of obtaining the necessary knowledge and information with which to express intelligence in a chosen field. But what would be thought of an individual who made no attempt to express his developed understanding? Would the chemically trained or mathematically informed person be thought of as a chemist or a mathematician if he made no effort to practice his learning?
This is true with the Science of Christ—Christian Science. To attain the name of Christian Scientist, and to be worthy of it, one must learn to demonstrate some of the teachings of this Science through expressing Godlike qualities.
Christian Science asserts that man is the image and likeness of God, basing this assertion upon the first chapter of Genesis. The real man is forever identified with God as His expression. This is the true spiritual reality of each one of us, and one demonstrates his selfhood to the extent that he seeks to be Godlike.
