A LIBRARIAN'S PRAYER

I asked God in the morning
To use me for His glory,
To fill my thought, to form my words
To tell the simple story

Of wondrous Love, of tender care
Of healing Truth and grace,
Of deathless Life, all-knowing Mind
Unfolded "face to face."

I thanked God in the evening
for having heard my prayer,
For having crowned my day with peace,
A peace the world may share.
