God's Law—What It Is and How It Works

Law plays an important part in the lives of men. Throughout each day we are subject to laws of many kinds. But Christian Science assures us that there is only one law that is all-important for us to understand and utilize, and that is God's law, which supersedes all others.

Just what is this law? Mrs. Eddy states in "Miscellaneous Writings" (p. 257), "The law of God is the law of Spirit, a moral and spiritual force of immortal and divine Mind." Because God is omnipotent, His law is really the only law there can be. This moral and spiritual force is ever present, immutable, unopposed, perfect. It declares the omniscience of Mind, the goodness of Love, and the eternality of Life.

The law of God is ever available and decrees limitless harmony, peace, and right activity for every one of His children. It is in eternal operation, ensuring compliance with God's will, supporting all right endeavor, and compelling the manifestation of good only. It has no opposite; nothing can ever supplant it or stay its divine power.
