Truth Is Our Medicine

As Kevin and his brother were growing up, they enjoyed learning the truths of God and man at home and in the Christian Science Sunday School. They learned that God is Truth and Love and that divine Mind was their only physician and their only medicine. They were sure that God always makes His children harmonious. And they were able to prove God's love in many ways.

The boys learned that to obey the First Commandment (Ex. 20:30),, "Thou shalt have no other gods before me," means to be on guard against believing in a power opposed to God, a power which is not real. This made them sure that the only medicine to be used to destroy error is the truth of perfect God and His perfect reflection, man.

At times when they were with friends who relied on methods other than Christian Science for healing the boys felt there was a difference between them and their friends. However, they were grateful to Mrs. Eddy for showing them how to use the healing truths taught and practiced by Christ Jesus.
